Application Information

Admissions Policies and Procedures

After reading the instructions, please fill out the online application as thoroughly as possible. When you are finished, click the SUBMIT button on the left column of any application screen. Print the application agreement statement that appears after you submit the application. The nonrefundable application fee is $50 (e-check, MasterCard, Visa, or Discover Card).

All GRU applicants are required to submit the following:

  • Completed online application
  • $50 nonrefundable application fee
  • Completed Immunization form (prior to enrollment)

In accordance with Board of Regents Policy 4.1.6, all applicants for admission to Georgia Regents University for Fall 2011 or any academic semester thereafter will be required to provide validation of lawful presence in the United States. Acceptance to the Georgia Regents University is conditional until lawful presence is verified. ALL applicants who are U.S. citizens must submit documentation that verifies his/her lawful presence in the United States at time of application to Admissions@gru.edu.

All applicants are required to pay the $50 nonrefundable application fee.

Regular Freshman Applicants

For regular freshman admission, specific requirements are as follows:

  • 2013 freshman index = 2040
  • 2014 freshman index = 2140
  • Test scores: SAT verbal score of 430+ and SAT math score of 400+
  • ACT English and mathematics scores of = 17
  • Required High School Curriculum (RHSC): 17 units must have been completed

International Applicants

International students (non-U.S. citizens) interested in applying to GRU, please see our International Admissions pages at http://www.gru.edu/admissions/international.php. If you have any questions about any of Georgia Regents University programs or the admission process, please write, call, or email the admissions office.

Financial Aid Information

All applicants are encouraged to fill out a FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). Designate Georgia Regents University as one of the colleges to receive your SAR (Student Aid Report). The FAFSA should be submitted as soon after January 1 as possible to meet Georgia Regents University's financial aid deadline as stated above and based on the semester you plan to begin enrollment at GRU. You may also apply online at www.fafsa.ed.gov.

A new application fee must also be paid when an applicant changes their enrollment term.

Financial aid deadlines:

  • Fall Semester, 2014: April 1, 2013
  • Spring Semester, 2014: October 1, 2013
  • Summer Semester, 2014: March 1, 2013
  • Scholarship Application Deadline: March 1, 2014

To complete this online application, type your answers in the corresponding fields or select your answers from the popup lists (where applicable).

After you complete a screen, click the NEXT button at the bottom or on one of the sections listed on the left column to move to a different screen. Before you are allowed to jump screens, we will inspect your data on the current screen for errors or inconsistencies. If errors or omissions are found, you will be returned to the screen to correct your answer(s). Otherwise, your data will be saved and you will proceed to the requested screen. We also allow you to skip to another screen without your new data being saved. Be aware that if you use the Skip & Jump function on the left column, data on the current screen will not be saved and will have to be reentered prior to submittal.

Once you have completed the application, click the SUBMIT button located on the left column to submit the application.
