Undergraduate Application for Admission and Readmission

Thank you for your interest in Kennesaw State University. KSU is located just northwest of Atlanta, Georgia.  The campus is an active environment with over 24,000 students from 142 different countries, including 3000 residential students.  There are 70 degree programs offered at the undergraduate and graduate levels.  Students enjoy involvement in more than 150 student groups and organizations, and cheer for the NCAA Division 1 Kennesaw State Owls, members of the Atlantic Sun Conference.

Steps to Applying to Kennesaw State University

All undergraduate applicants for admission and readmission must submit an application and a $40 nonrefundable application processing fee.  Those students with an acceptable fee waiver must print the application and mail it along with the fee waiver documentation to the Office of Admissions.

All supporting documentation and the application must be submitted by the deadline for the term you wish to enroll. Transcripts and test scores must be sent to KSU directly from the sending institution. Official transcripts are required from all colleges attended unless you are applying as a non-degree post baccalaureate student, which only requires the baccalaureate transcript.

To see deadlines and requirements for admission to KSU, please check here.

Be aware that different application categories may have different deadlines; it is up to the applicant to apply for the correct category and meet the corresponding deadline.

The application is valid only for the term for which it is submitted.  To change the term of entry, a new application must be submitted, along with the application processing fee.  If you do not enroll for the term of application, after one year, new supporting credentials must also be submitted.

Admission to KSU does not guarantee admission to specific programs.

Monitor your email account for messages during the enrollment process.

Online Degree and Certificate Programs

Online Degree and Certificate Programs may not be available in all states. If you are an out-of-state student, please contact the distance learning center to confirm that the program is available in your state.

International Applicants

International applicants have additional requirements; see the current university catalog for information.

Financial Aid

If you plan to apply for financial aid, be sure to list your social security number on your application.

Lawful Presence Verification

In accordance with Board of Regents Policy 4.3.4, all applicants who are accepted for admission or readmission to Kennesaw State University and who seek to be classified as in-state for tuition purposes, will be required to provide validation of residency and lawful presence in both the State of Georgia and the United States.  Acceptance to Kennesaw State University is conditional until lawful presence is verified.

Admission is a selective process. Meeting the application deadline or minimum standards does not guarantee acceptance. Starting Fall 2012, if an applicant is admissible, but must take the COMPASS Exam, minimum requirements must be met on the exam.  It is the responsibility of the applicant to review the admission standards in advance to understand the likelihood of eligibility.
