Middle Georgia State College was created in January 2013 by an act of the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia.

The college was formed by the consolidation of two existing colleges, Macon State College, which had two campuses, and Middle Georgia College, which had three campuses, all of them in Central Georgia. The college’s main campus is in Macon, with satellite campuses in Cochran, Dublin, Eastman, and Warner Robins.

MGSC, which has about 9,000 students, offers a variety of bachelor’s degrees – such as education, business, nursing, and information technology -- that are in particular demand in the Central Georgia region, as well as dozens of associate’s degrees and certificates. Student housing is available in Macon, Cochran and Eastman; a vibrant student life program is offered at all campuses; and intercollegiate athletics, club sports, and modern wellness facilities are offered as well.

MGSC has a particular connection to the region’s aviation industry due to its proximity to Robins Air Force Base. The college’s aviation campus, located at the airport in Eastman, offers Georgia’s only state-managed airport and aircraft flight instruction. The campus features high-tech facilities and instruction in demand by the nation’s aircraft industry.

Admissions Process

*Effective Fall semester 2011 the University System of Georgia requires all USG institutions to verify lawful presence in the United States as part of the requirements to receive in-state tuition. Students unable to verify lawful presence are able to attend MGSC but will be charged out-of-state tuition.

  1. After reading the instructions please complete this online application for admissions. Be sure to answer all items to assist in determining both your admission and residency status.
  2. A non-refundable processing fee of $20.00 is required. You will be prompted to pay this fee at the end of the application. Visa or MasterCard is accepted.
  3. Official high school transcripts should be mailed by the high school directly to the office of Admissions if entering directly from high school. Download the form.
  4. Official GED transcripts should be mailed by the State Department of Education directly to the office of Admissions if entering on the basis of a GED (High School Equivalency Diploma). Download the form.
  5. Official college transcripts from each college attended should be mailed by the respective Registrar’s office directly to the Office of Admissions if entering as a transfer student. Download the form.
  6. All students are required to submit a completed immunization form to the Office of Admissions. Download the form here.

Admissions requirements are subject to change and will differ depending on your student type and intended degree at the time you apply to Middle Georgia State College.

College admission does not guarantee student housing.

Instructions

To complete this online application, type your answers in the corresponding fields or select your answers from the popup lists (where applicable).

After you complete a screen, click the NEXT button at the bottom or on one of the sections listed on the left column to move to a different screen. Before you are allowed to jump screens, we will inspect your data on the current screen for errors or inconsistencies. If errors or omissions are found, you will be returned to the screen to correct your answer(s). Otherwise, your data will be saved and you will proceed to the requested screen. We also allow you to skip to another screen without your new data being saved. Be aware that if you use the Skip & Jump function on the left column, data on the current screen will not be saved and will have to be reentered prior to submittal.
